Covered California sign-ups top 1.22 million, with more to come
San Francisco Business Times

In Congressional testimony on April 3, Covered California Executive Director Peter Lee said sign-ups on the Obamacare exchange in California topped 1.22 million as of midnight March 31, the original deadline. But many people who started applications before midnight or experienced problems will have until April 15 to sign up. Lee said 85 percent of Californians who signed up for coverage have paid or “are paying” their initial premiums and are officially enrolled in private health plans.
