Covered California pushes enrollment for third year

As enrollment in California’s state health insurance exchange gets underway for the third year, officials don’t want the faded focus on national health-care reform to impede public awareness of the program.

Covered California, the state exchange created as a result of the federal Affordable Care Act, will spend $29 million on an open enrollment campaign including television spots in several languages starting Monday. It’s less money than past years, but Executive Director Peter Lee doesn’t want that to be misinterpreted as a lag in dedication.
