Sacramento Business Journal

Covered California officials on Thursday said the state-run health insurance marketplace hit its target for signups in 2016. Preliminary tallies show that more than 425,000 new customers signed up in the open-enrollment period that ended Jan. 31. Of those, nearly 100,000 people signed up in the final four days of the period, which began last November. The agency’s goal was 295,000 to 450,000 signups for the period.
