Covered California’s board of directors has said no to President Barack Obama’s request that states allow individuals and families to keep so-called “non-compliant” health insurance policies through 2014, officials said in a Tweet today. “#CoveredCA board decides to not allow people to stay in non-compliant health insurance plans,” the organization tweeted. More than 1.13 million Californians are enrolled in the controversial plans, according to Covered California.
