County hospital wing to open ahead of schedule
Ventura County Star

A $305 million addition at Ventura County Medical Center is expected to open in the fall, about two months ahead of schedule and within budget, officials said Wednesday.

Administrator Kim Milstien said construction of the 120-bed wing should be substantially finished in July at the public hospital that primarily serves low-income patients. Officials then will need a few months to move furnishings and equipment plus do staff training and get the facility licensed, she said.
