Community Hospital’s credit upgraded based on financial outlook

Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula’s credit rating has been upgraded from an A+ to an AA- by the financial services company Standard and Poor’s. The rating is based on its current financial picture and future outlook.

Noted was the hospital’s strategies to improve the community’s health, which include its investment in new technology, recruitment of staff and physicians and building upgrades, according to a press release from the hospital.
