Cedars-Sinai opens door to first Techstars Healthcare Accelerator class
Los Angeles Business Journal

Some 11 healthcare startups have set up shop at Cedars-Sinai as the Los Angeles medical center kicks off its first Techstars Healthcare Accelerator this week. With technology ranging from virtual reality and artificial intelligence, to new devices and management platforms, to mindfulness and end-of-life care, this first class represents a diverse gamut of companies working to transform health and healthcare delivery. For 13 weeks, the companies will work at the Cedars-Sinai Innovation Space. In addition to funding — a $20,000 investment plus an optional $100,000 convertible note — the companies will receive mentorship and guidance from Cedars-Sinai doctors, nurses and executives as well as investors and entrepreneurs from Techstars’ network and elsewhere in the healthcare industry. The program culminates with a demo day on June 23.
