California Medical Association promotes lobbyist to CEO

The California Medical Association, which unexpectedly lost its new CEO after less than three months at the helm, has turned to its internal ranks this time around. The CMA Board of Trustees voted Friday to promote longtime lobbyist Dustin Corcoran to the job. Corcoran has worked for the CMA for almost 12 years. He led the organization’s lobbying efforts for five years before becoming deputy CEO last fall.
