Bernie Sanders gets help from California nurses’ union super PAC
Sacramento Bee

A super PAC backed by unionized nurses, some of the most committed supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, reported Monday spending $268,000 to help Sanders in California ahead of the state’s June 7 primary.

National Nurses United for Patient Protection reported several payments for printing and advertising with a Latino print network.

National Nurses United, a 185,000-member union that includes the California Nurses Association, endorsed Sanders and his single-payer health care plan early and has been a vocal critic of his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton. Earlier this month, the union’s red “Bernie Bus” rolled into California.
