Arrowhead Regional surgeon proposes response to terror attacks
Daily Bulletin

People thought it couldn’t happen here. Then it did.

In the wake of the Dec. 2 attack in San Bernardino, two top medical officials at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center believe it is only a matter of time before the next terror attack on American soil.

“There’s going to be plenty of more terrorist attacks in the United States, I’m absolutely convinced,” said Dr. Richard Pitts, medical director of Arrowhead.

It has motivated colleague Dr. Michael Neeki to develop a program that proposes to overhaul how hospitals and law enforcement prepare for active shooting and terrorism incidents.
