3,500 Bay Area RNs at Sutter Health win big pay increases

Roughly 3,500 registered nurses at Sutter Health hospitals in San Francisco and the East Bay have won pay increases ranging from 20 percent to 28 percent over four years, according to the California Nurses Association, which represents the RNs in contract talks. The tentative agreement, which needs to be ratified by nurses in bargaining units at California Pacific Medical Center sites in San Francisco and Alta Bates Summit Medical Center campuses in Berkeley and Oakland, was reached Wednesday afternoon, according to CNA.
