Medicare revenue growth maintains sluggish pace, S&P says

Sluggish Medicare revenue for hospitals and healthcare professionals set another record during the year that ended in July, as measured by Standard & Poor’s Healthcare Economic Indices. The indices, which include six years and six months of data, found Medicare revenue increased at its slowest rate yet during the 12-month period, 2.35%, the latest in a string of record lows. Medicare revenue includes fee-for-service claim costs but excludes Medicare Advantage.
