Doctors Medical Center in San Pablo, which emerged from bankruptcy in 2008, is nearly insolvent again and just received a $4.2 million emergency cash transfusion from Kaiser Permanente to avoid running out of cash next month. That’s the story reported late yesterday by the San Jose Mercury News. The San Francisco Business Times covered much of the recent background in a mid-June story warning that Doctors could be in trouble by the end of the summer without a solution.
