Healthy hospital prescribes higher salaries
Los Altos Town Crier

In a move that signals greater confidence in its finances, the El Camino Hospital District Board of Directors Aug. 10 approved salary increases averaging nearly 4 percent for the hospital’s top nine executives.

The base-pay adjustments come a year after the board voted to freeze those salaries in July 2010 due to a sluggish economy and a reduced patient census that negatively affected hospital revenues. The board last increased executives’ salaries – ranging from 4 to 6 percent – in July 2009.
