Health cost static for most Tulare County staff

Last September, Tulare County workers were far from thrilled, dealing with furloughs, wage freezes, worries about the economyand news that their 2011 health insurance premiums would go up more than 12 percent.

A year later, things are looking up, with initial signs of economic improvement, county officials are working to cancel this fiscal year’s planned furloughs and most employees on county health insurance plans will not see premiums for their primary health insurance go up in 2012.
