Assemblyman Mike Feuer quietly lifted his health care rate regulation bill out of the fire Wednesday, but the heat will continue. Feuer called his decision to make Assembly Bill 52 into a two-year bill — and try again next year — “a temporary roadblock.” Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones said he’ll continue to mobilize support before the legislative session resumes in January. And threat of a voter initiative with an actual rate rollback could change minds on one of the most hotly contested bills in years.
