Consumers see hospital prices rise 0.5%

Consumer prices for hospital services increased 0.5% in July for the second month in a row, according to newly released seasonally adjusted figures from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. That’s compared with the 0.3% decline for hospital consumer prices for July 2010. The growth rate for hospital consumer prices held steady for the 12 months ended in July at 7%, identical to the prior year.
