Seminar Will Address Health Care Reform and Post-Acute-Care
Walnut Creek Meeting Will Address Challenges of Change

The role of post-acute care under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is unclear. Many of reform’s mandates speak to acute care, but are less specific when it comes to post-acute-care services. CHA’s Center for Medical Rehabilitation Services and Hospital Services for Continuing Care have planned a one-day seminar to explore the key issues of ACA and project its impact on post-acute-care providers.

The seminar, Post-Acute Care and Health Care Reform — Preparing for Change, will feature general and breakout sessions on bundling for services, Accountable Care Organizations, Office of Inspector General’s enforcement initiatives, leadership’s role in managing change, how California is keeping pace with reform initiatives and more.

The seminar will be held April 28 at the Walnut Creek Marriott. A limited number of rooms are available for April 27 at $139 for single or double occupancy. For reservations call (800) 828-5613 and mention the “California Hospital Association” to receive the special rate. The discount deadline is April 6 and room availability is limited.

Tuition is $295 for members and $500 for nonmembers. To register or for more information, go to Contact: Liz Mekjavich, (916) 552-7500,
