Program Coordinator/Communications Assistant

We are currently looking for an experienced Coordinator/Assistant who would be responsible for ensuring the successful operation of the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys (CSHA), including coordinating all details of the “Annual Meeting & Spring Seminar” and “Fall Seminar,” including site recommendations, negotiating contracts with third party vendors, detailed logistics and program planning (including developing a budget, tracking expenses, marketing, and registration); developing agendas and preparing minutes for board of directors; participating on CSHA committees; board and general membership recruitment and retention; layout and publication of CSHA’s quarterly newsletter; financial management; maintaining state bar MCLE provider status; identifying and soliciting law firm and vendor sponsorships; and website maintenance and posting of content.

This position also provides administrative support for the Vice President, Member Communications.  This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with the daily production of CHA News, updating the CHA website, word processing and proofreading; updating member database and pulling reports, tracking e-mail delivery, filing, ordering supplies; responding to phone and e-mail requests; and helping with member outreach and response.

The successful candidate will have meeting planning experience; proficient with MS Office software, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In-Design, database management, and other software; excellent communication, writing, proofreading, and customer service skills; experience with website maintenance; a professional and helpful demeanor; ability to organize, plan, manage time, and work independently; ability and willingness to work as an effective team member; and a terrific “can-do” attitude.
