Post-Acute-Care Seminar to Include Breakout Sessions on Building SNF Business, Streamlining IRF Operations

The Post-Acute Care and Health Care Reform Seminar will explore key issues of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and project its impact on post-acute-care providers going forward.

The afternoon agenda will feature two breakout sessions tailored to medical rehabilitation and distinct-part skilled-nursing facility (SNF) providers. In these sessions, rehabilitation providers will learn how to streamline operations to maximize efficiency, improve documentation and increase clinically complex admissions. Skilled-nursing providers will explore ways to spotlight SNF value of service, cultivate and work with referral resources, and improve the process of care under reform.

General sessions will spotlight bundling for services, Accountable Care Organizations, Office of Inspector General’s enforcement initiatives, leadership’s role in managing change, how California is keeping pace with reform initiatives and more.

The program will provide ample opportunity for networking and sharing experiences with peers. All attendees are invited to a pre-conference member update on CHA’s Center for Post-Acute Care.

The seminar will be held April 28 at the Walnut Creek Marriot. The Oakland Airport and rapid transit with shuttle service are nearby. A limited number of rooms are available the night of April 27 for $139 single or double occupancy.
