Multicultural Volunteer Engagement
Jaime Penaherrera, MBA, MA, Director of Diversity & Community Partnerships, Queen of the Valley Medical Center, Napa

Hospitals have a rich history of volunteer support from their communities. However, while serving very diverse populations, hospital volunteer programs have not always reflected this diversity in their own membership rolls. This session explores the recent demographic changes in California, and potential strategies to recruit and retain volunteers, particularly from the Latino community.
