Human Resources Manager

CHA is currently seeking an experienced, hands-on human resources professional to manage the HR function in a very service-oriented department.  The human resources manager is responsible for handling a variety of functions, including but not limited to: staffing, employee relations, performance management, compensation, training, new hire processing, leaves of absences, database maintenance and reporting.  Other responsibilities include maintaining files and providing backup support for payroll. 

The requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, human resource management, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible human resources experience in a corporate environment with multiple locations.
  • Current knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations; knowledge of IRS regulations as they pertain to employee compensation and benefits plans.
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with ADP and Visio desirable.
  • Positive, professional, and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to handle details accurately and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a helpful and friendly manner.
  • Strong initiative and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent judgment and decision making abilities.
