Human Resources Coordinator

The California Hospital Association (CHA) is the statewide leader representing the interests of hospitals, health systems, and other health care providers in California.  CHA includes nearly 400 hospital members and provides members with state and federal representation and advocacy in the legislative and regulatory arenas.

CHA is currently seeking an experienced, human resources Coordinator to handle a variety of functions for the Human Resources department, including but not limited to: new hire processing, coordinating staff events, benefits and wellness program administration, affirmative action compliance, ADP system maintenance, filing, scheduling meetings, maintaining supplies, and providing general administrative support for the department.

The requirements for this position include:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent experience); college degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of human resources experience in a corporate environment with multiple locations.
  • Current knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Recent experience in benefits administration (including retirement plans).
  • Experience maintaining an HRIS database and ensuring integrity of data.  Ability to create and format reports.
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with ADP and Visio desirable.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve using outside resources as necessary; must have thorough follow-up to ensure successful completion of tasks or resolution to problems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks well.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
