Evacuation Repopulation Guidelines Now Available
The CHA Hospital Preparedness Program has developed a new tool

The CHA Hospital Preparedness Program has released a new tool for hospitals to use when repopulating general acute-care hospital inpatient buildings after full or partial evacuation.

Developed in collaboration with several state agencies, the repopulation guidelines outline the basic steps required to return to normal operations as quickly as possible, while adhering to state agency requirements. In addition, the guidelines may be used to update hospital evacuation and “shelter in place” planning by bringing the repopulation requirements into consideration prior to evacuation.
