Education Program Manager

The California Hospital Association is the statewide leader representing the interests of hospitals, health systems, and other health care providers in California. CHA includes nearly 400 hospital members and provides members with state and federal representation and advocacy in the legislative and regulatory arenas.

We are currently looking for an experienced Education Program Manager for the Publishing and Education Department, a robust, revenue-generating department of the association. Working with subject matter experts and other education department staff, this position is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality education programs to hospital executives. Programs include conferences, one-day seminars and online webinars.

Responsibilities include: developing education content working with issue specialists; marketing, including writing, managing web content and functionality, and executing marketing plan; speaker management; developing course materials; member relations; expense/budget management; on-site program management; and coordination of continuing education. This is a hands-on position and requires a willingness to jump in and do what’s needed to deliver successful programs.

The successful candidate will have experience with education program development and marketing; excellent writing and proofreading skills and the ability to understand and write about complex health care issues; strong working knowledge of marketing principles; and strong computer and technological skills. Exceptional people skills and professionalism a must; requires high level of maturity and flexibility. Knowledge of hospitals and/or health care a plus. A bachelor’s degree or comparable experience is required; degree in Education, Communications or Marketing preferred.
