Editor Member Communications

We currently have a great opportunity for an ambitious professional with 5+ years’ experience in writing, editing and managing publications and an education in communications, journalism, marketing or business.  We are looking for an Editor who is responsible for identifying, developing and communicating information to members.  Duties include, but are not limited to: ensuring efficient, accurate and timely dissemination of information, both in hard copy and electronic formats; and ensuring the timely production, dissemination and web posting of CHA reports, advertisements, brochures, issue papers and other collateral material.  This includes working with the member communications team in the production of a daily electronic newsletter.

The successful candidate will have experience in a professional office setting — marketing or corporate communications experience preferred — and a degree in communications,  journalism, marketing or business;  ability to understand and interpret legislative, regulatory and political issues affecting health care; ability to accurately write, edit and organize material in an interesting and informative format; strong critical thinking skills; effective communications skills, both verbal and written; ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines; experience using various electronic media to communicate messages, including websites and listservs; ability to adapt well to changing priorities; and a positive “can-do” attitude.
