Dorel Harms Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
Recognition Received at the Annual ACNL Conference

Dorel Harms, retired Senior Vice President, Clinical Services at the California Hospital Association (and interim Vice President for Quality & Patient Safety), received the distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL).  The award was presented during February’s 35th Annual ACNL Conference in San Diego.  Serving as the CHA Liaison to the ACNL, Dorel kept the ACNL Board and membership apprised of legislative regulatory and policy issues for 15 years.  In this capacity, she traveled the state, educating nurse leaders on legislation and health policy.  A statement from the ACNL reads, “The ACNL Lifetime Achievement Award is reserved for the truly stellar leaders of our profession.  The award is bestowed upon those unique nurse leaders who, over the course of their careers, have repeatedly and continuously contributed to the betterment of nursing.”
