Della Weinhuff, Torrance Memorial Medical Center (TMMC) auxiliary past president, passed away in September at the age of 96. She volunteered at the main information desk and spent many years as gift shop co-manager at TMMC before retiring in 2017. She spent a remarkable 41 years as a volunteer and amassed more than 27,000 hours of service.
Della was pivotal in developing the gift shop’s employee charge payroll deduction program and a pioneer in establishing an internet presence for gift shop ordering. She was also known to the CAHHS as a statewide volunteer leader and served a term as chairperson of its Committee on Volunteer Services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Torrance Memorial Foundation in benefit of the auxiliary.
