Coalition Highlights Impact of Hospital Funding Cuts
New ads and video explain how cuts would hurt patients

The Coalition to Protect America’s Health Care, led by the American Hospital Association, recently launched a national advertising campaign spelling out the impact of hospital funding cuts that Congress is considering as part of debt ceiling negotiations. The ads, airing in national and select local television markets, depict the importance of preventing additional federal funding cuts to ensure patients continue to receive the vital health care services they depend on from hospitals. One of the ads — What Were you Thinking?

The coalition has also produced a video — Get Up! —  which hospitals can use when urging members of the hospital team to call their legislators.  The video displays below.

The coalition is a broad-based group of hospitals, businesses, and national, state and local hospital associations dedicated to educating the public about issues affecting hospitals’ financial situation and what that means for patients.
