Chief of Staff Boot Camp Designed for Medical and Hospital Leaders
Feb. 24-26 at The Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey

The 2012 Chief of Staff Boot Camp — designed especially for medical staff leaders, hospital administrators and board members — will be held Feb. 24-26 at The Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey.

Now in its ninth year, the program, conducted by The Institute for Medical Leadership, focuses on optimizing physician/hospital relations and maximizing success in the era of health care reform, as well as tools for quality assurance and resolving conflict. This year’s program also includes new segments on “Quality Improvement Through Data Analysis,” “Patient Safety: Lessons Learned From the Airline Industry,” and “The Value of Hospitalists and Other ‘ists.’”

The Institute for Medical Leadership is offering complimentary tuition for CHA-member CEOs who bring two physicians at the regular rate. Hospital and health system CMOs who are members of the American College of Physician Executives also will receive free tuition if they bring two physicians. Board members who bring two physician leaders will receive $100 off the early-bird tuition rate for each attendee in the group. The early-bird deadline is Jan. 20; however, the deadline for CHA members has been extended to Jan. 27.

To receive the discounted tuition, contact The Institute for Medical Leadership at (800) 361-5321. For CEOs who cannot attend, the free tuition will be extended to the COO or another member of the executive team.

Hospital administrators will receive up to 17 units of ACHE Category II continuing education credits through The Institute for Medical Leadership. Medical staff leaders will receive up to 17 AMA CME Category I continuing education credits through Medical Education Resources.
