California Hospitals Support Partnership for Patients Goals
Top priorities include harm reduction, improved care transitions

CHA has joined the efforts of Partnership for Patients, a new public-private initiative with a focus on stopping preventable injuries and complications in patient care.

Many California hospitals and CHA have signed a pledge to make the goals of harm reduction and improved care transitions top priorities for boards of directors, senior leaders, clinicians and staff. Hospitals also pledged to support clinicians and staff in these endeavors and to share their experiences.

The partnership brings together hospital leaders, employers, physicians, nurses and patient advocates, along with state and federal governments, in a shared effort to make hospital care safer, more reliable and less costly. More information on the Partnership for Patients is available at
