Administrative Assistant

The California Hospital Association is the statewide leader representing the interests of hospitals, health systems, and other health care providers in California.  CHA represents more than 400 hospitals and health systems and 94 percent of the patient beds in California.

We are currently looking for an experienced administrative professional to provide administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer.  In addition, this position is responsible for performing a wide variety of duties related to the activities of CHA/CAHHS, the regional associations and their related companies including their governing boards.  This position requires the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and handle frequent priority changes.  This position also requires a high level of initiative, professionalism, discretion, judgment, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  The person in this position works in close cooperation with the Assistant to the President and the Office of the President’s Executive Assistant.  This includes providing mutual back-up coverage and support as needed.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of administrative support experience in a professional office setting; experience in a health care, legislative or association environment preferred; proficiency with MS Office software; excellent communication, writing, proofreading, and customer service skills; a professional and helpful demeanor; ability to organize, plan, manage time, and work independently; ability and willingness to work as an effective team member; and a terrific “can-do” attitude.
