The Hospital Council of Northern and Central California is a nonprofit hospital and health system trade association representing more than 200 hospitals in 50 of California’s 58 Counties – from Kern County to the Oregon border.  Our membership ranges from small, rural hospitals to large, urban medical centers and represents more than 38,000 licensed beds.  The Hospital Council’s mission is to help our member hospitals provide high quality health care and to improve the health of the communities they serve. 

We are currently looking for an experienced administrative professional to provide support for the Director of Operations.  Duties include, but are not limited to: word processing; formatting and proofreading correspondence, presentations, and other business-related documents; assisting with preparation of meeting and committee agenda packets; coordinating projects at the direction of the Director of Operations; arranging meetings; managing calendars and deadlines; arranging travel; filing; answering phones; and processing mail.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years prior administrative support experience in a professional office setting; proficiency with MS Office software; excellent communication, writing, proofreading, and customer service skills; professional handling of telephone calls; ability to organize, plan, manage time, and work independently; ability to adapt well to changing priorities with a positive attitude, ability and willingness to work as an effective team member; and a terrific “can-do” attitude.
