Accounting Administrative Assistant

The California Hospital Association is the statewide leader representing the interests of hospitals, health systems, and other health care providers in California.  CHA includes nearly 400 hospital members and provides members with state and federal representation and advocacy in the legislative and regulatory arenas.

We are currently looking for an experienced administrative professional to provide support to our Chief Financial Officer.  This position is responsible for executive level support in a broad range of activities including but not limited to:  calendar management, correspondence, organizing files and workflow, developing spreadsheets and presentations, handling confidential information, researching and gathering materials, and carrying out a mix of both routine and complex tasks.

To be successful, you will need to have the following education, skills and talents:

  • High school graduate. Associate degree in business administration or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of high-level administrative support experience in a professional finance environment.
  • Established record of handling confidential materials and sensitive situations with sound judgment and utmost discretion.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience with concise business writing and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, easy-to-understand concepts.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and accountability.
  • Ability to take initiative, be a problem solver, knows how to move beyond barriers and roadblocks.
  • Proven ability to gather, analyze and summarize data, both quantitative and qualitative.
