Overview

CHA is hosting a 90-minute web seminar to help members understand the complexities of the historic health care reform legislation and the financial impact on California hospitals. The seminar will provide members with an overview of the elements of the health care reform legislation and the timelines for implementation.

Participants also will get a first look at the financial impact of health care reform on California hospitals. CHA is developing hospital-specific CHA DataSuite analyses of the reform legislation. The CHA DataSuite findings will be reported at the seminar. The individual reports, which will be sent to hospitals soon, will estimate the impact on Medicare payments, and provide a worksheet to generate estimated value of coverage expansion to the currently uninsured/self-pay population served by hospitals.

Presenters will include CHA President C. Duane Dauner; Anne O’Rourke, CHA senior vice president, federal relations; and Anne McLeod, CHA vice president, finance policy.

This complimentary web seminar is for CHA members only and is intended for CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and other executives. Preregistration is required. Once you register, a confirmation e-mail will be sent with instructions on how to test your computer. A day or two prior to the program, you will receive complete instructions on how to access the program, along with a copy of the presentation.
