Modern Healthcare

Uninsured young adults ages 19 to 29 are expected to continue to gain access to health insurance over the next four years because of federal healthcare reform, according to a new report by the Commonwealth Fund.

In 2010, 45% of young adults said they could not afford the care they needed, such as a doctor’s visit or prescription. Nearly 15 million people in this age group are uninsured nationwide, according to the Commonwealth Fund.
