What’s in health bill for young people?

Two groups of people who will be some of the earliest beneficiaries of health-care reform are children and slightly older young people who aren’t quite ready to leave the nest … of their parents’ insurance coverage, anyway. Under the sweeping legislation that passed the House of Representatives over the weekend and signed into law by President Obama on Tuesday, insurers will be prohibited from denying children coverage based on a pre-existing condition. Parents also may use their policies to extend coverage to their dependent children up to the age of 26.
