Walnut Creek hospital chief announces his retirement

McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) — Ken Anderson, the 13-year CEO of John Muir Health, this week told employees, volunteers and board members of the two-hospital nonprofit that he will retire March 31.

Anderson, 67, who has been with John Muir Health since 1974, said in a letter to employees that he had planned to retire after the completion of the $800 million expansion at the Concord and Walnut Creek campuses. The Concord expansion will be done this year and Walnut Creek by March.
