A vote for children’s health

A century ago, Americans faced malnutrition and the uncertainty of access to a healthy meal every day. Sadly, 100 years later we continue to see our children suffering from poor access to nutritious meals on a daily basis. Only now, we are also in the midst of an obesity epidemic. The foods that children are exposed to — both at home and at school — have an excessive fat and calorie content and, generally, lack in nutritional quality.
