Victor Valley Community Hospital files for bankruptcy
San Bernardino Sun

Victor Valley Community Hospital has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in large part because it is owed roughly $3 million by the state of California, officials said. The 101-bed acute care hospital will continue to serve patients with no interruption of services, said spokeswoman Lovella Sullivan.

In the past year, the number of Medi-Cal patients it served has increased 7 percent to 40 percent, Sullivan said.
