VCMC to unveil draft plan for seismic standards
Ventura County Star

A draft conceptual plan to meet state seismic standards by building a $175 million wing at Ventura County Medical Center will be presented in a community meeting Jan. 12.

Characterized by a county official as still in the concept stage, the proposal involves replacing portions of the Ventura hospital built in the 1920s and 1950s with a three-story wing containing about 110 beds, operating rooms and imaging services and allowing for an expanded emergency room.
