UCSD doctor given $10M grant to study hypoxia tolerance

A doctor at UC San Diego Medical Center received a $10 million grant from the National Institutes of Health for a study on hypoxia tolerance, it was announced Thursday.

Dr. Gabriel Haddad, chair of the Department of Pediatrics at UCSD’s School of Medicine and physician-in-chief at Rady Children’s Hospital, was the recipient of the grant through the NIH’s Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
