Trinity hospital CEO: Extending tax necessary to continue
Redding Record Searchlight

Trinity Hospital officials will ask voters to extend a 2006 parcel tax that saved the county’s lone hospital five years ago. The hospital’s board Tuesday night approved adding the measure to the June ballot. Measure P taxed some 9,500 parcels within the Mountain Community Medical Services district, generating an estimated $850,000 per year to rescue the hospital from the brink of closure and keep it afloat for five years.
