Tribes gather for conference on ‘new game’ in health care

In an effort to cut through the maze in the 907-page health care reform bill that President Barack Obama signed into law, a two-day Native American Health Care Conference convened late last week at Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa. The first-ever event, which drew more than 50 tribes and 170 delegates across the nation to Rancho Mirage, was designed to focus on bill provisions that will improve the service and delivery of health care to Native Americans.
