Tri-City directors fire hospital chief

The directors of the Tri-City Medical Center fired Chief Executive Officer Larry Anderson Monday, eight months after it gave him an 18-month contract to run the 399-bed acute-care hospital in Oceanside.

The board voted 4-3, with Dr. Madeline Rodriguez, Larry Schallock, Ron Mitchell and Charlene Anderson voting to fire Anderson, and trustees RoseMarie Reno, George Coulter and Kathleen Sterling voting to retain him. (Charlene and Larry Anderson are not related.)
