Three docs tapped to lead Preventive Services Task Force

Three physicians have been chosen to lead the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, an independent, private-sector panel that provides regular guidance to primary-care clinicians on topics such as health screenings, counseling and preventive medications. Dr. Virginia Moyer was named the new chairwoman of the 16-member task force. Moyer is a professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, and chief of the Academic Medicine Service at Texas Children’s Hospital, also in Houston.
