SVMH Employees Strike To Make Statement

Workers at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital admit they don’t know if Tuesday’s strike will make a difference. But, even if they aren’t successful, they’re willing to fight for what they believe is fair.

Tuesday’s stirke will be Lynda Hascall’s third time picketing in front of SVMH. She picketed in March and participated in a candlelight vigil in April to protest layoffs. But it didn’t matter. The hospital still cut about 200 jobs. Hascall hopes the third time’s the charm.
