Orange County Register

The new federal healthcare law may significantly reduce the number of Americans who get their health insurance through their employer, according to a new report from the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. In a survey of 1,300 employers, 30% said they definitely or probably will stop offering employee health insurance in 2014, when most provisions of the law go into effect. Among employers that say they know a lot about the reforms, more than 50% say they will find alternatives to employment-based health insurance.
