Stroke Patients Discontinue Medications
New York Times

Within three months of being hospitalized for an acute stroke, nearly one quarter of patients stop taking at least one of the drugs prescribed by their doctors to prevent further cardiovascular problems, according to a study published on Monday afternoon in the medical journal Archives of Neurology.

The study used a telephone questionnaire to interview 2,598 stroke patients or their proxies about how many medications they were still taking regularly.
