Sutter Roseville Medical Center is one of six medical hospitals chosen by the state to take part in a heart catheterization pilot program that will begin Aug. 1.

The California Department of Public Health pilot program will allow the medical centers to offer both emergent and non-emergency angioplasty and stenting without in-hospital cardiac surgery backup.
